Heya!! I m reviewing my first hiking venture at Bushkill Falls!

If you are living in a tri-state area and have been bored going to the same old places in Newyork and Dc . Its time now to take an escape from concrete jungles and be close to nature. One such place where you can spend your day on a summer weekend is Bushkill falls.
Bushkill falls are located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania state. It constitutes of 8 falls in total with 4 color codes trails for different level of hikers; from non-hiker to avid hikers the routes are perfectly designed. Since it is privately owned, this place is well maintained and they let you in for a small fee of $16.50 per adult.
All you have to do is drive up there. Gear up with some water and backpack. Be prepared to be there for 45 min to 3 hours depending on the trail route you take.
The routes mostly have some stairs to climb and some rocky areas to pass through with multiple places to take stops and rest (in case you are tired).
We were hiking for the first time so we decided to take the most popular and a less tougher route. We started to take the blue route, changed to red near the bridal Veil falls and then got onto yellow route from stop 6 and finally took the green route. I thought this was the best thing as we got to cover all possible routes without actually avidly hiking on the red route(which clearly quotes for hikers only with lots of climb).
We stood at each scenic location took some photos and enjoyed the waterfalls along with hiking through the jungle.
Tips:
1) Choose a day when it's not raining and weather conditions are great.
2) Book tickets online. It will save lot of your time plus sometimes you might find a coupon code which could help you save some on your pocket.
3) Don't forget to take the Map. Although there will be boards about routes and their extremities but Map will surely help you navigate better.
4) Gear up with some water bottles and little food in case you need it in an emergency.
5) Eat something and go since you will need energy to climb stairs and walk long routes.
Let me know how the trip was once you visit:)
