Who don’t love pizza? Recently I visited this pizza place in Hoboken, NJ called “Tony Boloney”. It is all about funky flavors. They serve everything from pasta, pizza, fries, sandwiches to wings. Their gigantic menu with wacky flavors inspired from around the world will leave you perplexed for a while. I would say one visit is not enough to try everything on the menu and you will have to pay several visits to actually be able to explore everything that’s on the menu. Troubled decision makers, Please review the menu online before you pay a visit because it will take a lot of time to decide. Most of their orders are takeout which defines limited seating arrangement. So if you would like to avoid the waiting period during weekends try ordering online but make sure you ask them to make the crust well done. Or else by the time pizza reaches home it becomes soggy. New York is known for the pizza slices but I would say this is the best pizza I have had so far. Its crust’s texture, flavors, taste and cheese are just super delicious and mouthwatering. They are open until 4 in the morning. So if you are hungry at midnight after clubbing in Hoboken you could visit this place and grab on some delicious slice of pizza. They offer creative slices as compared to the mundane flavors we find on the menus of other pizzerias. Vegans who generally do not get to eat pizza because of the cheese toppings can have it here as Tony Boloney offers you vegan pizza as well. They are a bit heavy on your pocket but I would say it’s worth spending every penny.
The things I have tried from the menu are Paneer tikka pizza,Verde fries,Kaleiente Pizza,Bangkok Boardwalk Pizza,BAYOU and Truffle Mozzarella Sticks. Their indian style paneer tikka gravy was simply outstanding and tasted much better than any Indian restaurant around. (Because Indian restaurants in USA do not know how to make panner tikka sabzi literally). Their huge Taco pizza is what attracts everyone here. But take a note that Taco Pizza full of tacos is served only on Tuesdays. I would say avoid trying fries because their fries are usually burnt and the cheese on top doesn’t blend well with the fries. But pizza definitely won’t make you regret your visit.
After having pizza I often go to Coldstone for an icecream and then stroll by Hoboken riverfront. It’s the best way to spend Sunday evening.
Try it guys if you haven’t this weekend.
